The trailer for David Simon’s “Treme” is up and it only serves to heighten my excitement about the show. Too bad I don’t get HBO — I might just have to do something about that.

David Simon is in New Orleans shooting the pilot of “Treme,” which follows a group of musicians as they return to normalcy after Katrina. As Carr makes clear, comparisons to “The Wire” and Baltimore are inevitable.
